Embellishing

One of the most common things in stamping is embellishing it so it stands out more. This can create depth, layering and texture. Most stampers have a wide collection of ribbon, eyelets, velcro, brads and many other things that can be used. I found an article on embellishing that seemed to be full of ideas and links to other sites. The author does not seem to go into a lot of detail, but she does provide ideas, suggestions and links. I think that embellishing can make or break a project. Sometimes simple is better and not using a lot of embellishing makes the point as well. Here are a couple of examples of using embellishment. In the first picture a small flower is cut out and a small brad is used to fasten it to the pcoket. In the second picture there are many layers, ribbon and eyelets used to create more of a depth to it. Another way to make a card or project stand out is to use embossing powder. Once this has dried it rises and almost has a puffy paint effect to it. To purchase some of the products seen in the above pictures, please go to this website and contact me for more information.
