For the graduate

This is a handmade graduation money holder card made with all Stampin' Up! products. To begin you will need an 8 1/2 sheet of whisper white card stock, night of navy card stock, real red cardstock, navy grosgrain ribbon, stampin' pastels, silver encore ink, night of navy ink, sketch an event stamp set and a coluzzle.

The middle section of this card should be slightly larger than a dollar bill. To ensure that the money does not fall out, cut out small flaps that you are able to fold inside in the middle section. As you can see from the photos, the top and bottom are not as long as the middle.

1. Cut out the length of the card. This should measure 8 1/4 inches long by 8 1/2 inches wide.

2. Score at 2 1/2 inches from the top and 2 1/2 inches from the bottom.

3. Center the coluzzle in the middle of the bottom flap and cut an oval so that the face of the bill shows.

4. Using night of navy, stamp the graduation hat from the Sketch an event stamp set randomly over the top inside flap, top outside flap and middle of the outside. Once the card is folded together, you should see hats in the front, on the backside and on the inside top.

5. Select the real red stampin' pastel cube and using the applicator, gently rub real red around all of the edges as seen the photos.

6. Cut a small piece of whisper white card stock measuring 1 1/2 inches by 1 3/4 inches. Using the Silver Encore stamping pad stamp a silver graduation hat in the middle.

7. Cut a small piece of real red cardstock measuring 2 inches by 2 1/4 inches.

8. Cut a piece of night of navy cardstock measuring 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/4 inches.

9. Cut a piece of navy grosgrain ribbon that will wrap around the middle of the card and tie.

10. Fold in the flaps and glue down to the bottom flap. Fold over the top and you now have your envelope card.

11. While the card is folded closed, glue the navy grosgrain ribbon over the outside top flap in the center of the card only. Next layer the night of navy cardstock over the ribbon so it is centered and glue down. Center the real red cardstock over the night of navy, and the whisper white cardstock on the top (just a note: the silver encore may take a few minutes to dry, please make sure it is dry before adding on so it does not become smudged).

12. You are now ready to give to your favorite graduate!
