This was a card for a family member's birthday over the weekend. I wanted to make something that the kids could help with and that the receiver would like. I used a few different techniques with this card. The first one is the the crimped effect (the ripple look in the background). This one is fun for the kids because they love to use the crimper. It is an easy way to let the younger kids help out in a project. The next technique that I used is embossing. I wanted to have the gumball machine to really stick out. I also made this into a shaker card by cutting out the middle of the gumball machine and making it a window with "gumballs" inside. The last is the puffed out look. I used old rubber from cutting out my stamps around the backside of the gumball machine. This helped to create the window and to give more depth to the card. I used treat yourself and all around lower alphabet to make this card. All products used were by Stampin' up!.
